| Dr. Gokita received his Ph.D. in music composition from Harvard University, where he has received |

| He has also been a fellow at the Aspen Music Festival in Colorado. |
| Dr. Gokita has studied composition with Mario Davidovsky, Earl Kim, Donald Martino, and Bernard |
| Rands. |
| He has participated in workshops with Luciano Berio, Witold Lutoslawski, Olivier Messiaen, and Toru |
| Takemitsu. |
| Dr. Gokita has received numerous commissions and has performed by many ensembles and players, |
| including the Pro Arte Orchestra, Speculum Musicae, Yomiuri Philharmonic Orchestra, PMF Orchestra, |
| Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra, Cambridge Players, among others. |
| Takehiko Gokita's works have premiered at major concert halls and music festivals across the US and |
| Japan, including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Boston Symphony Hall,Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Aspen |
| Music Festival,and Eastern Music Festival. In addition to the many concert works that Dr. Gokita has |
| written,he has composed original sound track for Japanese animations, such as "Digital Monster", |
| Viewtiful Joe (TV Tokyo and Warner Brothers),Humanaid Moster Bem which is one of the most popular |
| television program in the history of Japanese animation. Moreover, He has composed original music for |
| NHK documentaries. |
| In 2005, Dr. Gokita's original CD "Jikufujin" (Earth, Sky, Wind, and human) has released from King |
| Records. |
